The Casio fx-9750G four AAA size batteries, which are cheap and commonly available in thrift stores. Rechargeable high capacity batteries would last longer and save even more money.

Program Memory

The CR2032 is for the program storage memory. If this battery fails, then you will lose all your stored programs. Upon removal of this battery, the calculator draws power from the main AAA dry cells to maintain the memory contents. Therefore, make sure that the main batteries are operational before taking this out.

These batteries can last for up to two years; however, eventually they will deplete and require changing.
